Rupees witness against the doller

Rupee has been witnessing record lows for the last six trading sessions. This fall is despite mild intervention by the RBI.
Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) recent fight to defend the rupee has had muted success, with the currency hitting new record lows despite several administrative measures as well as selling of dollars in the market by the central bank. RBI Update:

RBI said exporters will be required to convert 50% of their foreign exchange holdings into rupees.  The rupee had hit an all-time low of 53.83 rupees per dollar on Wednesday.
